I’m visiting my parent’s this holiday weekend and am watching the football games. I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with Oregon State’s performance on Thursday against Stanford. They lost because of stupid mistakes, but they normally start off pretty slow so hopefully next week they can work on limiting their turnovers.
Chad Johnson has changed his legal name so he is now Chad Javon Ocho Cinco. While I can see how his actions may be distracting it does not seem like he ever does anything to harm anybody. He just seems to be enjoying life as much as possible. Good luck Chad Ocho Cinco.

Chad Ocho Cinco
The Golden State Warriors are investigating Monta Ellis’ injury. With how much money has been guaranteed for him they should follow up on everything. They’ve set him up to be the face of the franchise (I love Stephen Jackson but have you seen his face?), so the Warriors must do everything in their power to keep him healthy. I guess more on this to come. Read the rest of this entry »

R.I.P. Duck
Kevin Duckworth passed away from a heart attack last night in Gleneden Beach, Oregon, he was only 44. I just wanted to take a quick second and take off my hat to a old favorite of mine as a kid.
Kevin Duckworth was drafted 9th in the 2nd round of the 1986 NBA Draft by San Antonio and was later traded that season to the Portland Trailbazers. He played for a little more then 6 years as a Blazers, and ran to the championship twice. After the Blazers, he played four more years in the NBA, he spent two years in Washington with the Bullets, one year with the Bucks and finally retired after one year with the Clippers. Duckworth ended up coming back to Portland and was a big part of the community.
I’ll remember the big double 0′s playing good defense and picking up his points when it was needed. He was a great community member and will be missed.

YEP, we’re back. Not since the 3rd of June have we actually posted a podcast and you know what, it feels good to be back. So we kicked off the dust and got back to it. We talked about the Olympics closing up and Team USA basketball. We only just touched on football, but I can promise, this will be a fun football season. Well, thanks for tuning back in, and we’ll get back to a regular schedule at some point.

In honor of Madden coming out I thought I’d share this comic I found in the Penny Arcade archives. Enjoy the “sick day” and enjoy Favre playing on the Jets.
